Spring has sprung…think PINK!!

I would like to kick off our series on outdoor entertaining with a springy option to pour at your next at-home event!! Making specialty drinks by the pitcher allows your time as a host/hostess to be so much more enjoyable…not having to mix drinks for each guest, one at a time.

If you are asked to toast family and friends during St. Patrick’s Day…a few ideas for you…
There are good ships,
and there are wood ships,
The ships that sail the sea.
But the best ships, are friendships,
And may they always be.
May you live as long as you want and never want as long
as you live.
Always remember to forget
The troubles that passed away.
But never forget to remember
The blessings that come each day.
May the luck of the Irish
Lead to happiest heights
And the highway you travel
Be lined with green lights.
May you have all the happiness
and luck that life can hold—
And at the end of all your rainbows
may you find a pot of gold.
Enjoy celebrating the luck of the Irish…

The next couple of days, we will be featuring toasts for various situations. Here are a few toasts to add to your repetoire!! Have on hand for those special get togethers…so you can rise to the occasion and let your friends know how important they are.
Health to you,
wealth to you,
and the best that life
can give to you.
May good fortune preceed you,
love walk with you, and good friends
follow you.
May you live as long as you like, and
have all you like as long as you live.
Toasting Tips!!
Have you ever been put on the spot to make a toast? A few suggestions to take the anxiety out of the mere thought of being asked!!
- Choose toasts from classic poetry or limericks; offer simple, heartfelt expressions; or summarize the honoree’s qualities or achievements.
- Keep it simple and brief. A three sentence limit is a good rule of thumb.
- End cheerfully! Lead the audience to raise their glasses, smile and sip.
- Robert Mondavi insists upon the Swedish custom of making eye contact with each person as you clink glasses for warm feelings.
Join us the next couple of days for some toast options to always have in your bag of tricks!! Cheers!!
